Single Estate Teas

Our selection of Single Estate Indian teas includes some of the very finest teas from the world's best gardens.
1st Flush teas refer to the first new shoots of the season, picked in April. These teas are extremely light, greenish and fragrant. 2nd Flush teas are picked in May and June and tend to be more rounded and fuller than 1st Flushes. Autumnal Flushes are picked in October and November and are much darker than earlier flushes.

From and old estate in the mirk valley at an altitude of 6000-7800 feet close to the Nepalese border. Well made green leaf, with ample silver tip. Light and bright liquor with a beautiful floral 1st flush character.

2008 - Darjeeling Thurbo 1st Flush - Single Estate Tea

The Thurbo Estate nestles in the mirik valley, to the south of Darjeeling town. The leaf has an abundance of silver tip and is very well made. The liquor is deep and rich with a beautiful, well rounded, 1st Flush character.

2008 - Darjeeling Sungma 1st Flush - Single Estate Tea

Sungma Estate is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas at an elevation of 4800-7800 ft. This outstanding tea has an extremely well made, traditional green leaf with silver tip. Bright liquor with a light floral character.

2008 - Darjeeling Gopaldhara 1st Flush - Single Estate Tea

The name derives from: Gopal - the beloved god-child of hindu mythology and Dhara-fresh & pure spring water. The tea has a beautiful twisted leaf with ample silver tip. The liquor is bright with exceptional well pronounced floral notes. A truly remarkable tea!

A tea from the western slopes of the Darjeeling district. Good manufacture with a little silver tip. Exceptionally rich and rounded liquor with a pronounced floral character. One of the finest of this season's 1st Flush teas.

Nestled in the Darjeeling hill at around 3000-4500 ft, the Jungpana Estate consistently produces excellent teas. The tea has a truly superb and bright floral liquor, with the true "Muscatel" character of quality Darjeelings.
